Libra Rising, ruler Venus in Aries: With Libra ascendant brings somewhat difficulties into the life and giving way to emotional impulses, excitability and changeability, especially with affectional interests. This position accentuates the desire for companionship and the emotional side of the nature will be very strong. Giving a considerable degree of enthusiasm and increasing the idealistic side of the nature. The spirit of independence will be intensified and, hence, there will be a lessening of the tendency towards taking the line of least resistance.

Libra Rising, ruler Venus in Taurus: This helps the practical side of the nature with Libra rising bring more stability, and more capacity to resist giving way to the least line of resistance. While there is a great interest in social and public affairs, the practical side of the nature will be towards material and financial benefits. The desire for affection shows that the emotions will influence decisions and subsequent actions, thus more durable ties. In some respects there will be a degree of obstinacy, and once action is decided, irrespective of the actual merits concerned, intentions will be carried out as far as it is possible to do so.

Libra Rising, Venus ruler in Gemini: Although Venus is reasonably well placed in Gemini; when it is ruler of Libra it more often than not brings complications to do with the friendly, affectional and marital sides of life, as a result of associations overlapping as it were and being productive of the eternal triangle. From the standpoint of character it gives cheerfulness, optimism and a combination of mental, emotional physical activity, but interferes to some extent with the directing of activities to definite or properly planned ends and, thus, shows that there will be periods of disappointment and times when life will seem to lose some of its interest.

Venus ruler of the Sign Libra Ascendant in Gemini. It enhances the susceptibility to emotional impulse and shows that in many respects the feelings will decide the line of action. This position gives a strong desire for change and variety. It shows that when associating more or less freely with other people and experiencing a varying number of interests to which to give thought and attention, there will be a sensation of feeling reasonably happy and cheerful. On the other hand should affairs become monotonous or should difficulties or misunderstand‑ ings arise which disturb associations and cause temporary isolation, a depressing feeling of uneasiness and extreme loneliness will be experienced.

There will be a need to exercise some discretion regarding love affairs and affectional interests as, otherwise, it will not be too easy to make definite and lasting attachments and, consequently, disappointments and even unhappiness respecting the marital side of life can occur. Nevertheless, quite a deal of benefit and pleasure can be derived from life if proper discrimination and forethought are used.

Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Cancer: Venus is not so well placed in Cancer when it is ruler of Libra, as certain conditions of a somewhat antagonistic nature are shown to operate and there will be a clash between what may be termed the refined side of the nature as shown by Libra and the domestic side of life as shown by Cancer.

Although there will be a full appreciation of a necessity for attention to the domestic side of affairs there will always seem to be an emotional and, sometimes, even a physical reaction in the actual carrying out of domestic duties with the result that when and where possible arrangements will be made to obviate the personal involvement in domestic tasks.

            It shows that the natural desire for companionship will he intensified. Productive of friction with others in the surroundings, particularly if others try to force compliance against the will. If the position in life and the means are such that it is possible, preference will always be shown, and at times willingly, for paying others to carry out the domestic duties rather than dealing with them personally. There will, however, be need to see that these inclinations do not bring undesired reactions upon the home and affectional side of life or produce misunderstandings and even breaks that are not wished for despite the Liberian tendency towards giving way to the line of least resistance.

Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Leo: Venus is very well placed in Leo when it is Ascendant ruler of Libra, much more so than when it is ruler of Taurus, for the Libra‑Leo vibrations harmonise in a very constructive and satisfactory manner. The stronger power of determination and ability to fix objectives that are given by Leo will go a long way towards offsetting the tendency to give way in certain instances and follow the line of least resistance which is characteristic of Libra. Somewhat more discrimination will also be used in the forming of affectional attachments.

            Signifying that certain of the ambitions will be connected with the affections. At the same time the independence of the nature will be intensified with a desire to carry out certain things in a personal way. Interest in the artistic side of life will be strengthened and, with proper training, quite a deal of ability for acting can be developed with a definite attraction towards the theatrical side of life. From other standpoints some interest will be shown in certain kinds of sport as well as in educational and kindred affairs and if the power of organisation is allowed to play its part much headway and progress in life can be brought about by combining natural enthusiasm and idealism with activity of a constructive nature. As result of effort and initiative positions will be attained where influence and power over others can be exercised, and this will be more marked if steps are taken to develop the social and public sides of life.

 Libra Rising,  Venus Ruler in Virgo: Venus as ruler of Libra Ascendant is not too well placed in Virgo, especially as this is the Sign of its Fall. It signifies that at times some rather unpleasant conditions will be experienced regarding the affectional side of life. For, when Libra is rising, Venus is usually in the twelfth house of the map when it is in the Sign Virgo, and this House position is generally productive of quite a number of unpleasant and unhappy conditions and incidents. Matters to do with work, profession and environment can be of an unsatisfactory nature interfering with desires of a social and pleasurable character or, on the other hand, unwise ties and associations can react unfavourable upon business and professional matters.

            Its influence over the feelings and emotions is exceedingly strong and these in turn will affect decisions and actions. There will be a desire to bring about progress and advancement with the capacity to make plans and to carry them into effect. There will be a need to make certain that conditions associated with the environment and with others therein do not interfere with activities, bring restrictions or cause sacrifices to be made that are not altogether anticipated.

Whilst the desire for companionship and affection will be intensified, it will not be too easy to make those associations or attachments which are really in accord with the inner desires, and circumstances or the influence and suggestions of prospective partners should not be allowed to cause the making of secret attachments or the agreement to conditions which would bring an adverse future reaction or un‑ happiness and trouble.

Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Libra: Venus as ruler of Libra Ascendant in its own Sign of Libra is another mainly favourable position for, in the majority of instances, this will put Venus into a rising position at birth and this invariably conduces to natural cheerfulness and pleasantness, with an expressing of the social spirit. It brings a good blending of a certain amount of independence with a willingness to co‑operate for mutual ends but, in an apparently paradoxical manner, it is not too good for fixed partner‑ ships or agreements, apart from marriage. Even in the latter case it can be productive of difficulties if the normal companionship is broken or interfered wit.

            It accentuates the desire for affection and companionship. In fact the necessary effort to do so should be put forth as this will aid general progress and bring quite a deal of ultimate benefit, so long as common sense is allowed full scope. Naturally, a great deal will depend upon the actual training received or acquired through personal effort. The desire for affection will attract strongly towards marriage and, in normal circumstances, faithfulness will, invariably, be maintained.

Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Scorpio: This position of Venus in Scorpio is again unfavourable, if anything, more so with Libra rising than with Taurus rising. Libra does not give quite the same degree of restraint or control as Taurus but rather accentuates the taking of the easier path so far as the feelings and the passionate side of the nature is concerned. As the Libra influence brings more contact with social and public conditions of life, there is greater necessity for exercising care as any unwise action can act detrimentally upon public and social prestige. The sexual conditions of life will always require a degree of thought with this position.

            The desire for companionship is greatly intensified, particularly accentuates the emotional side of the nature. It shows that associations and ties will be formed which will have a marked effect over the life either for good or for ill, especially so far as marriage and partnership are concerned. The liability towards giving way to the line of least resistance is rather marked. Nevertheless, apart from these signification’s there will be an intensifying of the incentive and capacity to do things, and an ability to direct efforts towards ends of a more definite nature, whilst resourcefulness of thought and action, especially during periods of emergency or crisis, will be drawn out very strongly.

 Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Sagittarius: This position is quite a good one and Venus as ruler of Libra Ascendant in Sagittarius is considerably better than when it is ruler of Taurus, for Libra and Sagittarius as Signs, are in harmony with one another. The Sagittarian vibration strengthens the Libra temperament and gives a greater degree of firmness and independence despite the desire for variety. Though associations and attachments will be made readily and easily they will usually be of a constructive and mainly helpful character and the affections will be genuine. The desire for travel and the possibility of foreign travel are, again, denoted.

            The natural desire for activity will be strengthened and the wish to engage in quite a variety of interests. There will be less tendency to give way to the line of least resistance, and the spirit of independence will assert itself more fully and give an ability to stand firm and insist on an individual line of action, despite the natural desire for co‑operation and for being on good terms with other people. There will always be a willingness to help others and to do a good turn as far as possible but a dislike for being imposed upon and, although such imposition will be forgiven, it will not be forgotten.

Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Capricorn: This position of Venus in Capricorn, as ruler of Libra ascendant, is a rather contrary one showing both a complexity of nature and temperament and a mixture of conditions in the external life. There will be a blending of the idealistic with the practical, of the social and public interests of life with those of a business and commercial character. Yet, there will be an experiencing of sensitiveness to the rebuffs of others and to the making of personal mistakes which draw the reproof of others which, in itself, is extremely hurtful and can cause a sense of humiliation. If given way to this may lead to actions of an unwise and detrimental character. It is a position that may give thoughts of suicide, particularly if Venus is afflicted.

            It signifies that matters of a social, affectional and emotional nature will play an important part The desire will be for others to express their feelings and regards first, then personal response will be less difficult. Unless a lead is given as it were, there will be a sense of restriction and inhibition which will not be easy to break, even though the awareness of this inhibition can cause self‑irritation. There is much sensitiveness and any rebuff will intensify the feeling of emotional hurt. There is more ambition than may appear on the surface but unduly quick results should not be expected.

Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Aquarius. Venus as ruler of Libra Ascendant is well placed in Aquarius as both Signs are of an Airy nature and, therefore, in harmony with each other. Thus it will be easier to express the thoughts and feelings in action and to bring about quite a number of constructive results as well as to obtain recognition of ability. Usually there is a holding of position of a public or social nature, sometimes political, but more in accord with philosophical, educational and social objects. Benefits will be derived through constructive friendships and associations, but there will always be some need for using discretion in the choice of these.

            There will be a need for quite a deal of fore‑ thought and discrimination in the choice of friends and in the making of ties as, otherwise, there will be times when the trust placed in others will be greatly abused and a sad let‑down occur. Although the position does not give outstanding ambition, it shows that there will be quite a number of hopes and wishes regarding the main interests of life and, hence as far as circumstances permit, efforts put forth to bring about an ultimate realising of such hopes and wishes.

Libra Rising, Venus Ruler in Pisces. Whilst Venus is fairly well placed in Pisces, by reason of its Exaltation, there is some likelihood of troubles and difficulties being experienced in connection with affectional matters when it is ruler of Libra Ascendant, owing to the latent tendency of Libra to give way to the line of least resistance.

Therefore unwise associations or attachments can be formed because the desire for companionship is sufficiently so to cause the action required to be taken.         Accentuating also the desire for companionship and the importance, for good or ill, of the associations formed.
